Jennifer Salem, Esq.

I was raised in the Midwest and moved to Nevada to attend college at the University of Nevada, Reno. While at UNR, I joined Pi Beta Phi sorority and fostered many life-long friendships that I treasure to this day.

Following law school at the University of San Diego, I moved back to Nevada and began my legal practice in the Las Vegas office of a mid-sized law firm. As a Partner in that firm, I represented national developers in complex litigation matters.

Valerie and I worked together for a time and after we both had left, we began to talk about opening a firm where we could work with people and families to help them protect their assets and provide them with peace of mind. Origins was born from that excitement and enthusiasm.

Jennifer is licensed in Nevada and Washington.

Jennifer has been appointed an arbitrator for the Eighth Judicial District Court and was selected as a member of the Nevada Supreme Court's Permanent Guardianship Commission. She is also a committee member of the State Bar of Nevada Client Recovery Fund.

Valerie Del Grosso, Esq.

I was the first of my big family to be born in Las Vegas (the rest hail from Niagara Falls, New York) and have been practicing law here since 2008. I started by representing businesses, business owners, and their families in complex litigation matters. In 2014, I struck out on my own for a more direct and personal relationship with my clients- offering faster response times, more personalized service, and flat fees.

As I got to know my clients personally, they turned to me more and more to protect the fruits of their hard work through customized estate plans. This became more than just an added service when a friend's father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's at a young age. I learned about new estate planning techniques to help his family avoid losing everything to nursing home costs, and Origins Legal Group was officially born.

Valerie is licensed in Nevada.

Valerie is the author of the LexisNexis title, Nevada Estate Planning, Will Drafting and Estate Administration.

OUR MISSION

We help families plan for the future and carry out their last wishes in the simplest way possible, so they can get on with their lives with the peace of mind that they are prepared for whatever happens.

OUR VALUES

We See the Big Picture

Legal matters often involve lots of uncertainty, moving parts, and people with differing interests. We keep our eye on the big picture and help you do the same, so we can get great outcomes in the most efficient way possible. We will tell you if you need to lose sleep over your legal matter, but rest assured, you almost never do.

We Do the Right Thing

Our secret weapons are accuracy, consistency, and preparation. Experience shows, over and over, that this mix gets great results, even in the toughest situations.

We Stay Current

Amazing developments happen in the law on a regular basis, yet we meet often meet clients who were not advised of new changes they can benefit from. You can count on us not to offer stale, canned legal advice, but instead to offer innovative (but not complex) solutions.

We Hate Surprises

We like to prevent problems before they happen so we can avoid surprises and complicated legal interventions. Using our experience in hundreds of cases and a thorough understanding of available legal options, we anticipate likely issues and take steps to avoid them in advance where possible.

We Simplify on Purpose

While many lawyers learn the skill of “working up” a case, we actively try to simplify and expedite the legal process for our clients without sacrificing quality. You will notice our lawyers and staff are happy and friendly, and it’s because we are doing real work (not busy work to pad the bill).

We Understand

We “get” families and their dynamics, and we empathize with the stress of managing a legal matter. We will help you through it, and when needed, may deliver some friendly, but direct, advice on how to cope.

FAQs

When is Origins Legal Group open?

Our office location is open from 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. However, attorneys are by appointment only, due to court hearings, client appointments, and deadlines. We are closed on state and federal holidays. Our reception service is available after hours and on the weekends to take a message.

Do I need an appointment to visit the office?

Yes. Our office is by appointment only so we can provide our clients undivided attention during their sessions.

How can I reach my lawyer?

Your attorney can be reached by email or phone. Please review your welcome packet for the dedicated client services phone number for fastest response times.

I have not heard from the lawyer. When can I expect a call back?

We strive to return client calls within one business day. If you are not a client (such as a beneficiary of an estate), please correspond with the executor of the estate and review your mail. This keeps estate costs down. We are also limited in the information we can provide non-clients due to the attorney-client privilege.
